I was a little dismayed when I read the other reviews so our party was pleasantly surprised when we tasted our food. The 2 stand outs were the Braised Mango Lime chicken and the Steak Rigatoni. Both were DELICIOUS and highly recommended. Service was alright but the staff was pleasant enough.

Raised this place from a 1 star to 2 star but reluctantly. I had the Shrimp & Grits, and I would rate is as maybe ok. Little to no real taste and poorly presented and packaged. Veggies provided with the bowl but they were cool- not hot. Wife had roasted beets and veggie burger. Roasted beets were ok but veggie burger, once again, was without taste. The restaurant is part of a restaurant group in The Villages and they have many of the same items on the menu. The Veggie Burger at Bonifay Country Club is great. Maybe they can show the staff at this restaurant how to make a good one! One last comment - the noise/yelling/fighting in the kitchen was so bad and so loud we had to ask the manager to do something to quiet them down. All in all, not a restaurant to recommend!!

Reopened with $2.50 wines at Happy Hour. Nice pool area with rock wall and water fountain. Menu is kinda boring but the dishes coming out all looked good. I had orange Mahi with rice and vegetables. Very good. A companion had steak quesadillas about which she raved. And our other friend had biscuits and grits with some sort of meat. All quite good. There literally was a line out the door upon leaving. People seem very excited at the reopening and how much nicer it is than before. To me, it's still like an ordinary chain restaurant - Chilis or whatever - but the food is solid for sure. Would I crave returning to dine? No. But those crazy cheap drinks and the nice waterfall by the pool add a reason to return if wanting to stay local.

Food very tasty! Fried Fish was not greasy and done perfectly! Chicken with rosemary was juicy and yummy. Hamburg was juicy and excellent taste. Server was excellent and great personality! Atmosphere was neat and clean. Breakfast buffet is excellent with a great variety of food. Personalized omelettes available also!

This restaurant recently reopened with a lot of press and hoopla so we thought we'd give it a try. Basically, it was a big disappointment. When we arrived the hostess was on the phone and there was no one else to seat people. We stood there for ten minutes for her to finish her call. I'm not concerned about the ten minutes . . . but having the ONLY seating staff also answering all incoming calls seems poor planning. Our waitress, Tiffany, was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and attentive. I ordered the fish and chips - my "test dish" for new restaurants. The menu described it as beer battered which implied that it was freshly dipped in batter in the kitchen before frying. It was obviously a frozen chunk of prebreaded fish thrown into a fryer directly from the freezer. If It reminded me of the awful frozen fish sticks my mother used to make in the oven when I was a kid . . . only not as good. The fries were cold and hard. I mentioned this to Tiffany and she brought out a fresh portion. My wife ordered the chicken Parmesan. It was room temperature and not very good. The restaurant was crowded so they seem to be doing OK . . . . maybe we just happened to order the two worst items on the menu. But I doubt it.

So happy to have this refurbished country club so close to home. That said, they didn't take the refurbishing quite far enough. Same rickety chairs, same horribly faded umbrellas at the prettiest pool in The Villages --and very few umbrellas at that! Ordered lunch. shrimp and grits and a side salad. Salads arrived and were beautiful - beets, scallions, tomatoes and field greens --but quite skimpy and with no crackers or rolls offered. Shrimp and grits with a side vegetable were both delicious --and disappointing. The sautéed Shrimp with bacon and scallions was delicious. However, it sat on top of a soup bowl (not an appropriate shallow, rimmed bowl) filled with thin, white, watery grits topped with shredded cheddar cheese. The server said she "knew for a fact that the grits are made with cheese in them" ( in a not-very-pleasant tone). If they were, it was white and there was very little of it because you can't put much cheese in them and cook grits that runny! To top it all off, there was No spoon for the cereal bowl and the grits ran right through the fork! She returned to fill our water glasses only after the meal was over and we had eaten the last half with nothing to drink. When she brought the check, she admitted she tells them every day that this meal needs to come with a spoon. Hope the manager gets on this stuff quickly. We didn't see him or I would have told him in person. We really want this club to succeed!

Big disappointment. Ordered a Greek salad. Half of the lettuce had rust. They put the feta cheese in the dressing, and the pieces were so tiny there was no taste.

Orange Blossom is our favorite pool in the Villages. We were very excited that the restaurant reopened. The restaurant is pretty with a nice bar and an outside eating area. The food was extremely disappointing. The clam chowder was watery and unremarkable. I had shrimp tacos which were just "ok". For a side we both had rice and beans. It was a bowl of unseasoned white rice with a couple of tablespoons of black beans on top. It was served Luke warm. My husband had the MaiMai sandwich. It was cold and we had to ask for the tarter sauce. The waitress was very nice but we waited a long time for food and our check. They have a lot of improvements to make with the food and the service.

Brought several guests to this country club (pool specifically) for the day. As they were in the pool, I went to secure our drink order. Since the access to the outside bar was roped-off, I was redirected to the inside of the building. After waiting for a minute or two, I had to interrupt a group of 3 staff members to inquire where I could order drinks for the pool. They redirected me to the inside bar which was 2 feet from where I was standing. Staff members blatantly ignored me and would not acknowledge that I needed assistance. There was visibly at least a dozen staff members for roughly 2 dozen customers (spread across 5 tables and the bar) in the restaurant, but yet all the staff members seem flustered, mixing up their tables, and not working well together. Waited 15 minutes before a staff member reluctantly asked me if I needed anything. Extremely poor customer service and appeared to be mismanaged (considering the manager ignored me and walked passed me more than once). They need a clear process for pool quests to order food and beverages which is blatantly not in place. On the upside, the draft beer was served ice cold and the sun is out (though they did not give me a floating ice cup for my pitchers).

This country club's restaurant is now under new management & is much better. The place is clean, the food & cocktails are delicious, and the service is good. Glad it finally improved under new management.

Do not get the clam chowder. I repeat: DO NOT get the clam chowder. The menu states that it is buttery and creamy tasting, it is not. It wasn't even hot. Neither was the veggie burger that I ordered. It was supposed to be charbroiled, they lied about that too. OH, and expect a long wait for a big disappointment.

I went there twice this week, Thursday and then Friday. Prepare to wait the service was slow both times. And I mean unacceptably slow. The waitress took a drink and meal order at the same time and never brought the drinks for 25 minutes. The food came 20 minutes after that. Lunch on Thursday with similar except we had no drinks but it took almost 45 minutes for our meal to come. I know they get slammed this time of the year. But .........

We were glad to see the place had some renovations done and reopened. It is conveniently located. That being said, we came here for the Easter buffet and it was a disappointment. We arrived at 2:00 and they were all out of turkey, well except for some sliced stuff that tasted like it came out of a can. Most items were pretty salty. No stuffing, only mashed potatoes, ran out of cranberry sauce, and a sad excuse for a salad bar. All this for about $17 per person...I will not be back.

The Breakfast Buffet, served on Sunday morning is excellent and was only $6.99 the last two times I visited. Try the potatoes, biscuits and gravy, omelets, and the fresh fruit on the buffet. It is all you can eat and the quality is pretty darn good for the price. I try to go there at least once a month.

Food was ok the service was bad. The bartender was very abrupt and showed signs that this was her norm. She was quite rude, made the experience far from what it should be.
